I doubt that the developers really put something more insidious into these games. This save file is intended for Mega Man X3 (US version) with the 'Mega Man X3: Zero Project v4.0' improvement patch applied to it. Zero (Japanese: ) is a video game character present throughout Capcoms Mega Man franchise. Yeah, as far as I remember (it's been about 20 years since I've seen it fail, after all.), the main copy protection in Cx4 games is that the Cx4 is gratuitously involved in basic functions like loading sprite data, similar to protection microcontrollers in arcade games. As for this case, only 2 games ever were made with Cx4 so it's not like we wouldn't find out very quickly if something was wrong. Mega Man X3 Zero Project is a 16-bits classic Game Released for Super Nintendo (SNES) console.
